Alex Wang - Artistic/Music Director

Singer/ songwriter Alex Wang, with 3 solo albums under his belt, expands his musicianship into the realm of musical theatre.

While teaching at a local secondary school, he saw the many challenges his students were facing, and wrote “Believe” with a vision to inspire and positively transform the lives of his students.

Taking the helm of “Believe 2010”, Alex aspires to restore the original artistic vision of the musical, to continue its mission to touch the lives of youths and teenagers.

Alex has appeared in “Believe”, as well as the Chinese musical “Butterfly Dreams”. He also directed Stella Kon’s “Blue Willow House” in 2008.

Petrina Dawn Tan - Production Stage Manager

An experienced stage manager, Petrina has worked with virtually every theatre company in town, notably Toy Factory Productions Ltd (“The Crab Flower Club”), Odyssey Dance Theatre (“Red Tears”), and Action Theatre (“Manhood”).

A versatile professional, she is currently working on “Giselle” for Singapore Dance Theatre as a sound operator, a dresser for Toy Factory’s upcoming production “Pious Monk”, and is also the venue stage manager for the Esplanade.

Working with the cast and crew of “Believe”, Petrina believes that the production is a good opportunity for grooming Singapore’s next generation of theatre practitioners.

Tee Yue Tong - Webmaster / Roving Photographer

Currently awaiting entry into Ngee Ann Polytechnic to pursue a Diploma in Engineering (with Business Management), Yue Tong's attachment to the "Believe" production allows him to pursue his passion: photography.

Tasked with capturing the candid moments of the entire production process, Yue Tong follows the many rehearsals, choreography sessions and even meetings, to create a complete canvas of the workings of "Believe".

He is also the webmaster for the "Believe" official website.

Alvin Mak - Personal Assistant to Director

An aspiring social worker, Alvin will be reading Social Work and Psychology at the National University of Singapore this August.

In the meantime, he works as the Personal Assistant to the Artistic Director, Alex Wang, and in the process, is gaining great insights into human behaviour, both from the script as well as the cast and crew of "Believe".

"I feel privileged to be working with Alex and working on a production that promotes a message that I strongly believe in: love, hope and affirmation!" Alvin intimates.
