Shirin Bte Yusof as John's Mum

Graduating from Republic Polytechnic in May with a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science, this is Shirin's second time participating in "Believe".

"It was the first "Believe" musical I did at Esplanade's Recital Studio that made me realize acting was what I want to do in the future. I've learnt so much during the first "Believe" musical and I'm hoping that through the next one, I'll be able to learn even more about acting, singing and dancing and also to meet new people."

Shirin is currenty considering options to further her education.

Kakinuma Adrian as Young John

Adrian loves singing and is very excited about joining this musical. He did wushu for 5 years and has recently gone for a competition overseas. He enjoys getting involved in practices as he has the company of his good friend, Dexter.

He practises singing with her sister, Erina (Jules), all the time.

"I hope i can perform very well for everyone!" Adrian exclaimed.

Dexter Ng as Young Gary

A big fan of the arts, Dexter has been enrolled into NAFA as well as several speech and drama courses. His passion and love for the arts is commendable as he clinched an art interview with a popular kids' magazine at the minor age of 7.

He is grateful for being given a role in ‘Believe 2010’.

 

Gerwin Lee as Potato

Gerwin is a student in Sembawang Secondary School and this is his first time taking part in a musical.

"I am glad that to be in this production. It gives me brand new ideas on how to develop my confidence and character." he said.

Dorothy Yeo as Apple

Dorothy was involved in the "Believe" musical production and workshops since 2007. Before this, she participated in several singing competitions and musicals. She aspires to be a singer and have a passion for dancing and acting.

I really hope that this opportunity to perform in the upcoming "Believe 2010" will help me to increase my confidence and knowledge about the performing arts, especially musicals. And i hope that "Believe" can help me to pursue my talent and passion for singing more. Lastly, i'm very grateful for this opportunity to perform. At least i know,although i may not be a singer etc., i know that i tried and that i have such a wonderful experience in my life

Daniel Yeo as Lucky

Daniel is currently in the final year of ITE College East (Simei) pursuing chemical process technology. Daniel was acting as a member of Bulldog's gang in “I Want To Be A Star”, a musical adapted from “Believe” in celebration of Holy Innocent’s High School’s 50th Anniversary.

 

"I have a passion for acting and singing and I aspire to be an actor. I am really happy to be able to act in "Believe". I hope to make more friends during the production and

to gain more experience."
